Sophie completed her look with a suede bag
The Duchess of Edinburgh donned a stylish jumper dress during a royal outing as she officially opened The Lighthouse Guildford, a new community hub in Surrey.
The “Fallon” style by Reiss, which retails for £198, featured a rolled neckline and long sleeves.
The skirt just graces the shins, perfect for the winter catalogue.
Sophie’s piece was completed with a stunning coat upon arrival – the “hunter” style by Suzannah London.

It featured a belted waistline and a sharp collar, creating a sense of formality.
The duchess is particularly fond of Suzannah London, aligning with her support for small, UK-based fashion brands.
Supporting the look, Sophie carried the “Paloma” suede bag by Sophie Habsburg, also known as Archduchess Sophie of Austria.
The fashionable accessory matched the hue of her Gianvito Rossi “Piper 85” boots.

The duchess has worn the knitted dress in the past, most recently in November 2024 at the launch of NSPCC’s Number Day 2025 at LEGOLAND Windsor, a fundraising event for the charity that works to prevent child abuse and protect children in the UK and the Channel Islands.
Her outing today included the packing of Christmas gifts and speaking to volunteers.
Sophie is a patron of The Lighthouse, a Surrey and Hampshire-based charity that supports marginalised and vulnerable members of society through various programmes and initiatives.
The duchess displayed her maternal side as she met with Lucy and her six-month-old daughter Dottie, and Aya with her eight-month-old, Wateen, who are regulars at the centre’s playgroup.

Lucy spoke on her interaction with the duchess: “She (Dottie) loves to cuddle with everyone.
“And after the group photograph at the end, we were stood by the duchess, and she turned around and had another chat with Dottie, and said how good she’s been.
“Dottie was five weeks old when we first came along, and we’ve been every week since.
“She’s got lots of little buddies here, and it’s just so nice to get out and talk with other mums, and you don’t necessarily have to worry about the babies too much, as it’s a safe space.

“Of all the other groups I’ve gone to, these are the friendliest people, the nicest people. I can’t recommend enough,” she told Hello.
Sophie has been a patron of the charity since 2022, but her involvement with The Lighthouse dates back over five years.
As Sophie stepped into the donation hub, she remarked to volunteers: “Is this the production line of Santa’s little helpers?”
She helped to pack items into the paper bags, including chocolate, mittens and beauty products, which locals and companies had donated.
