Meet Peter Phillips’ little-known half-sister Felicity Tonkin – but will she attend his wedding?

eter Phillips‘ royal wedding to Harriet Sperling is expected to be attended by multiple members of the extended royal family – but there’s one relative who likely won’t be in attendance.
Though the esteemed guest list hasn’t been confirmed, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales are among those expected to join the congregation at All Saints’ Church in Gloucestershire on Saturday, 6 June.
However, one person not expected to be on the guest list is one of the groom’s half-siblings, Felicity Tonkin, the little-known daughter of Captain Mark Phillips, 77, and the half-sister of Peter and Zara Tindall.
The Princess Royal’s marriage to Captain Mark ended in divorce after reported affairs on both sides, with the pair having separated in 1989. She is now married to Sir Timothy Laurence.
It was also confirmed in 1991 that Captain Phillips had fathered a daughter, Felicity Tonkin, born in August 1985 in New Zealand to art teacher Heather Tonkin, while he was still married to Anne.

Keeping a very low profile
Though Felicity, 40, was born just four years apart from Zara, the pair are not believed to have been in contact.
She wasn’t present at Zara’s wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011, instead choosing to remain at home in New Zealand, nor was she seen at Peter’s first wedding to Autumn Phillips in 2008.

Her grandmother, Dr Shirley Tonkin, told the Daily Mail at the time of Zara and Mike’s wedding that Felicity would not be attending and wouldn’t even be watching the ceremony on television.
She said: “Zara has never been in touch with her – nobody has.”
She added: “She’s very happy leading her own life, so I don’t think they’ll be watching – they didn’t even watch William and Kate’s wedding.”

Like Zara, Felicity also has a love for horses and is now a specialist equine vet. She is married to polo player Tristan Wade.
Captain Mark provided financial support for her upbringing, according to The Telegraph, but is not believed to be in contact with his daughter.
It means that Felicity is unlikely to be seen at Saturday’s royal wedding.
Wedding guest list
However, Peter and Zara’s other half-sibling, Stephanie Phillips, is much more likely to be on the guest list.
Stephanie is Captain Mark’s daughter from his second marriage to Sandy Pflueger, to whom he was married from 1997 until 2012.

Stephanie was a flower girl at Zara’s wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011 and Peter’s wedding to Autumn Phillips in 2008. On Instagram, she has called Peter the “best big brother out there”, and grew up nearby, on Aston Farm on the Gatcombe Estate.
Other expected attendees on Saturday include the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, while Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are believed to have been invited.
However, Prince Harry, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Sarah Ferguson have not been invited, HELLO! exclusively revealed last month.
