Zara Tindall’s little-known half-sister who will reunite with family at Peter Phillips’ wedding

Aroyal wedding is undoubtedly one of the biggest events of the year – and we could see some rarely seen relatives come out of the shadows.

Peter Phillips, Princess Anne‘s son, is set to marry Harriet Sperling on Saturday, 6 June at All Saints’ Church in Gloucestershire.

It’s expected that there will be a lengthy royal guest list, with likely attendees including the King and Queen and Prince and Princess of Wales – though this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Prince Harry, however, is not expected at his cousin’s big day as they have “simply lost touch”, while Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson haven’t been invited, HELLO! exclusively reported last month.

However, one royal relative that will almost certainly be on the guest list is Peter and Zara Tindall‘s half-sister, Stephanie Phillips.

Stephanie, 28, is the daughter of Princess Anne’s first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, and his second wife, Sandy Pflueger, to whom he was married from 1997 until 2012.

The King’s sister was married to Captain Mark from 1973 to 1992 and is now married to Sir Timothy Laurence.

A little-known royal relative

Despite the age gap, it always seems that Stephanie, Zara, 45, and Peter, 48, get on very well when they’re seen together.

Stephanie was a flower girl at Zara’s wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011 and Peter’s wedding to Autumn Phillips in 2008. On Instagram, she has called Peter the “best big brother out there”.

She seems to have much in common with her half-siblings as she often shares pictures of her horses, while Zara famously competed in the Olympics as an equestrian.

The three grew up close together, with Stephanie being raised on Aston Farm on the Gatcombe Estate.

Stephanie attended the Dean Close School in Cheltenham, which costs £13,900 a term. She later studied Business Management at the University of Worcester, graduating in 2021. She’s now an equestrian eventing professional, competing at high-profile events including Barbury, Wellington, and West Wiltshire.

Though she hasn’t posted on social media since 2022, she is sponsored by Voltaire Design and Champion.

Royal wedding

Zara was in the crowd for Stephanie’s wedding in 2022 at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Tetbury when she married William Hosier, an agricultural graduate.

Princess Anne was also present to watch her ex-husband, Captain Mark, walk Stephanie down the aisle.

Several members of the royal family were on the guest list, including Peter Phillips in a blue suit, and Zara in a lace Zimmerman blue mini dress.

Peter’s ex-wife, Autumn, was also present, while his two children, Savannah, then 11, and Isla, then 10, were bridesmaids.

Zara and Mike’s daughters, Mia and Lena, were also bridesmaids.
