A confidential agreement emerged when Andrew accepted the removal of his royal status
Royal insiders have disclosed that safeguarding Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie represents rare common ground between King Charles and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Despite their strained relationship, both men share deep affection for Andrew’s daughters and believe they deserve protection from parental scandals.
“It is, perhaps, one of the few things that His Majesty and Andrew agree on,” a royal source revealed to the Mail.
“They both love Beatrice and Eugenie and want the best for them. They also agree that the princesses can play an important, helpful role in public life.”

The monarch reportedly considers it unjust for his nieces to face consequences for their parents’ actions.
A confidential agreement emerged when Andrew vacated Royal Lodge and accepted the removal of his royal status last month.
The arrangement explicitly guaranteed that his daughters would face no repercussions whilst their father forfeited his princely designation.
The understanding reached between the monarch and his younger brother ensured both young women maintained their princess titles.

Additionally, their positions in the succession line remain unchanged, with Beatrice holding ninth place and Eugenie 12th.
Beatrice continues as one of seven Counsellors of State, legally authorised to deputise for the sovereign during illness or overseas travel.
The confidential arrangement extended beyond title preservation, permitting the princesses to assume fresh ceremonial positions. Evidence emerged just one week following the announcement of Andrew’s loss of honours.
Outward Bound revealed Beatrice’s appointment as Deputy Patron, succeeding her father, who previously held the charity’s patronage.

The organisation, which employs outdoor adventures to develop young people’s potential, had been led by Prince Philip for 65 years before Andrew assumed the role.
Prince Edward became the new Royal Patron, with both appointments receiving sovereign approval.
The timing coincided with an Outward Bound gathering at St James’s Palace, where Edward hosted supporters and Beatrice attended.
Martin Davidson, Outward Bound’s chief executive, welcomed the royal involvement: “With the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice working alongside us, we’re embarking on a new chapter.

Beatrice has expanded her charitable activities, visiting Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Monday to examine Borne charity’s research facilities.
The organisation focuses on preventing premature births, a cause personally significant to the princess, whose daughter Athena arrived early at the same hospital.
Royal observers anticipate increased public appearances from both sisters with sovereign endorsement.
