Prince Louis ‘copies’ brother George’s grown-up gesture during VE Day commemorations
Prince Louis is a royal icon
Prince Louis has once again delighted royal fans, this time by mimicking big brother Prince George in a playful moment during the VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations.
The seven-year-old royal was spotted watching his 11-year-old brother closely as they sat side-by-side on a specially constructed dais outside Buckingham Palace for Monday’s historic Victory in Europe Day event.
Surrounded by their sister Princess Charlotte, 10, and parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, the young royals took part in a moment of national remembrance.
Prince Louis and Prince George attend VE Day celebrations
During the military parade, Prince George was seen brushing his hair away from his face after a gust of wind swept through the seating area
Seconds later, Prince Louis copied the motion, but with an overdramatic flair that left fans in stitches.
“I cannot with Prince Louis,” one fan tweeted alongside the viral clip. “Look at him mimicking Prince George and adding some ‘Snazz’ to it. He is truly the Moment.”
Social media lit up with praise for the cheeky royal.
“Prince Louis is our spirit animal,” one fan commented, while another gushed: “Louis is THE ROYAL.”
“I sincerely hope that young lad NEVER changes,” another mused. “He is just so fun-loving he doesn’t even know it.”
“Prince George looked shocked too. Hahaha! I can only imagine them in private!” A fourth laughed.
“He is such a star!” Another agreed. “Makes me smile with his antics.”
For the occasion, Prince George looked particularly grown-up in a navy suit, light-coloured shirt, and royal blue tie. Louis looked equally sharp in a tailored suit.

VE Day
Princess Charlotte, meanwhile, re-wore a familiar blue and green coat first seen at the 2023 Christmas service in Sandringham.
Kate Middleton donned a striking purple Emilia Wickstead coat with a matching pillbox hat, while Prince William donned a full military uniform.
The family was seen walking together to their seats, with George confidently leading the way, followed by his siblings and father.
The VE Day commemorations come just days after Prince Harry’s explosive BBC interview.
During the interview, Harry claimed his father “won’t speak to him”. He also cast doubt on returning to the UK due to security concerns.
Royal insiders reportedly hope the visibility and unity of the senior royals during these major national events will help “refocus” attention away from family rifts and toward the monarchy’s positive role in public life.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also attended the ceremony.
Celebrations and events will continue until May 8, the official anniversary of the Allies’ victory in Europe during World War II.
