Harriet Sperling’s ex-husband has been enduring “mental torture” ahead of her wedding to Peter Phillips, a source has claimed.
The eldest grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II will exchange vows with NHS nurse Harriet at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, Cirencester, next Saturday, June 6.
Both enter their nuptials having already been married prior. Peter wed Autumn Kelly in 2008 before their divorce in 2021, while Ms Sperling was previously married to fitness instructor Antonio St John Sperling.
Ms Sperling, 45, has a 13-year-old daughter, Georgina, from her previous marriage, while Mr Phillips has two daughters with his first wife: Savannah, 15, and Isla, 13.
King Charles and Queen Camilla will lead the distinguished guest list at their nephew’s wedding, and will be joined by the Princess Royal.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also expected to play a part in the celebrations, accompanied by their children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight.
However, several notable family members will not be in attendance.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not been invited, while Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, the Duke of York’s former wife, are likewise not expected to attend.

But it is Harriet’s former husband, Mr Sperling, also known as Dino, who has been left the most disgruntled with the couple’s romance and subsequent wedding.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said: “He’s not very happy about how he’s been portrayed by Harriett and feels that he’s been completely written out of the narrative by her.”
According to the source, Mr Sperling has had no meaningful contact with his daughter Georgina for approximately four years.
“It’s been mental torture for him,” the source also told the newspaper. “Dino has reached out to try and establish a better relationship with Georgina many times but there’s been no interest.

“Her [Harriet’s] part in what led to the breakdown of their marriage is being forgotten. He’s tried to make peace many times for the sake of his daughter.”
But the fitness instructor is under no illusions – his ex-wife is to marry into one of the most significant families on the planet.
“She’s marrying into the Royal Family and will never have to worry about money or paying a bill ever again,” the source added.
“It’s not been like that for Dino, he’s struggled for a long time both financially and emotionally.”
The source revealed that despite his personal anguish, Mr Sperling wishes his former wife and Mr Phillips well in their new life together.
“She’s going to be a part of one of the world’s most powerful families and he wishes her and Peter all the best,” they said.
Ms Sperling works as a paediatric nurse for the NHS, with her professional biography describing her as passionate about infant brain development.
The pair are said to have met at a sporting event attended by their children, and made their relationship public in 2024.
The couple now reside on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate, close to All Saints’ Church with its distinctive 1824 spire visible across the Cotswolds.
