One Direction singer Liam Payne’s friends and family have come together to grieve the 31-year-old after he fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires

Liam Payne ‘s heartbroken parents Karen and Geoff have arrived at the funeral of the son, alongside the singer’s two sisters.

The One Direction singer’s loved ones have come together today to grieve the 31-year-old after he fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16.

Liam’s father Geoff brought his son’s body back to the UK two weeks ago. Geoff flew out to Argentina after the tragedy and refused to leave his son’s side. He also took the time to greet fans of his son who had gathered outside the hotel where he died to pay their respects and grieve.

The former One Direction singer will be laid to rest at a private funeral in the Home Counties where his family and closest friends will attend. The funeral will be followed by a wake.

Liam’s One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik all attended the service, as well as his devastated girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. Cheryl, who shares seven-year-old son Bear, with the singer also attended the funeral today.

Ahead of the service, preparations got underway at the church as an array of beautiful flower arrangements have been placed outside the front door of the small church.

Early this morning, the flowers were placed above the arch on the entrance to the church, as well as outside ahead of mourners arriving at the service. White roses and autumnal foliage were placed at the entrance of the church as candles lined the path.

The insider told The Sun: “His family have gone to great lengths to put together the perfect service and give him the send off he deserves. Liam may have been a global superstar but to Geoff and Karen he will always be their little boy. It is going to be an incredibly difficult day.”

After Liam’s tragic death on October 16, his family paid tribute to the star in a statement. In a statement, they said: “We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time.”

Following Liam’s death, his dad Geoff headed to the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires where the Strip That Down singer passed away. As he visited the hotel, he read tributes to his superstar son and kissed pictures of Liam.

As Liam’s devastated family continue to come to terms with his death, his sister recently said that she her little brother has “found peace” in a moving statement.
