Susanna Reid will be replaced on Good Morning Britain after announcing an extended break from the ITV show on Thursday.
The 54-year-old, who usually presents the programme Monday to Wednesday, and alternative Thursdays, will be enjoying a well-deserved break for a ‘couple of weeks’.
At the end of Thursday’s instalment, her co-star Ed Balls, 58, said: ‘And Susanna, we’ll see you in a couple of weeks time…’
Susanna replied: ‘See you in a coupe of weeks, I’m going to go and spend some time off. I will be back do not fear.
‘Good Morning Britain is back of course, from six, now it’s time to go to Lorraine.’
Susanna regularly presents alongside Ed, Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway.

Her step-in host has not been revealed as of yet, but it could be any of her fellow anchors, including Kate, Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins.
The TV star joined Good Morning Britain in 2014 and previously worked on the likes of BBC Breakfast and Sunday Morning Live.
Susanna’s absence isn’t the first shake-up that ITV have been involved in this week.
On Thursday This Morning will be extended by 30 minutes, meaning that it will wrap up at 1pm.
Meanwhile Loose Women will not be back on our screens until next week.
This is because the coverage of The Grand National Festival at Aintree will be airing instead.
It comes after Susanna revealed that she went clubbing in Ibiza with her three sons last summer and ‘properly partied’ – but admitted she’s nervous for them to flee the nest.
The journalist, 54, revealed that she headed to the party island with her grown-up sons Sam, 22, Finn, 21, and 19-year-old Jack.
In a new interview with Woman&Home, she admitted: ‘I’m not really a pub-goer, but I go clubbing.
‘I went clubbing with them during the day and had the most amazing time. I stopped drinking in 2018 and I’m now predominantly teetotal.
‘I have a Buck’s Fizz on Christmas Day, I had half a glass of champagne on my mum’s birthday and I have a drink once every couple of months – including a couple in Ibiza.
‘But I don’t have pints at the pub like I did in my 20s.’
She added: ‘Being virtually teetotal hasn’t damaged my social life. In any case, in Ibiza, music is your drug!’
She joked: ‘My God, the amount of time I’ll have when the boys leave home. I’m going to have to go to Ibiza on my own.’
