The psychic medium, 33, and his wife Alexa, 26, welcomed their second baby, son Rowan Alexander Fraser, on Tuesday, March 18, sharing the exciting news exclusively with PEOPLE. The newborn entered the world through a planned cesarean section at the Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island at 8:01 a.m., weighing 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measuring 19 inches long.

“Bringing Rowan into the world was an experience filled with love, laughter, and so much emotion. From the moment we saw him, we knew our hearts had expanded in ways we never could have imagined,” the couple tells PEOPLE.

“To soak in every moment of this special time, Matt has taken six weeks of paternity leave before returning to his tour schedule. To stay close to home, he’ll be focusing on shows in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Red Bank, New Jersey; Concord, New Hampshire; and Worcester, Massachusetts—making sure family time remains the top priority.”

“Our little family is now complete with two beautiful boys—and we can’t wait for all the adventures ahead!” the couple adds.

The night before welcoming baby Rowan, Alexa says that the excitement of the future “really started to hit me.” In those hours before welcoming her second child, she felt an “overwhelming sense of peace” instead of nerves.

“I was actually calmer and in much better spirits than I thought I would be, knowing I had to go in for another C-section,” the newly minted mom of two tells PEOPLE. “Instead of worrying, I let myself lean into the joy — I started imagining what Rowan would look like, how he would smell, how Royce would react,” she continues. “I envisioned them meeting for the first time, growing up together, becoming best friends. And just like that, all my nerves faded away.”

Fraser, who also shares 2-year-old son Royce with his wife, also had similar feelings ahead of welcoming their newborn, saying he was “running purely on adrenaline” the night before.

“I was happy, anxious for Alexa, and just completely in awe of what was about to happen,” Fraser explains, detailing the anxiety-filled moments before they brought him into the operating room. “I waited anxiously until they finally brought me in at exactly 7:57 a.m. Just a few minutes later, Dr. Kokturk announced, ‘He’s coming out!’ And at 8:01 a.m., Rowan was here. My immediate reaction? ‘Oh my God, Alexa, he is so cute!’”

After welcoming their bundle of joy, the first person they called was their son, who had a hilarious reaction to virtually meeting his baby brother.

“Rowan out! No more belly! Naked boy!” he said, before turning to his Alexa’s mom Sharon and asking, “Can we go see him now?”

A rep for the couple exclusively announced with PEOPLE that Fraser and his wife were expecting their second baby together in March 2024. The author shared his excitement for the new addition to the family exclusively with PEOPLE, saying that he and his wife would always talk about having a big family.

“We were blessed enough to welcome our first baby Royce in 2022, who changed our life for the better. We have had the time of our lives raising him, and we knew we wanted to give him a sibling,” Fraser said. “Now that it’s happening we feel like our biggest dreams are coming true, together.”

The couple also can’t wait to watch Royce grow into the role of big brother.

“Royce is such an amazing and special little boy, and Alexa and I know he is going to make such a great big brother,” Fraser said. “We can’t wait for more unconditional love to enter our entire family in welcoming this new baby! It’s truly a love like no other and we know this new addition is going to make our little family happier than ever.”
