The eldest of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has a sweet tooth which is helped by a gift given to him by the late Queen.
Prince Archie is six now
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s eldest, Prince Archie, is growing into his own character, developing his own tastes, likes and dislikes.
The six-year-old has now developed a sweet tooth and enjoys one breakfast item more than anything else. In his recent interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show, Prince Harry revealed that Archie loves waffles.
And it’s not just a new interest for the young royal, as he has been enjoying the sweet dessert for some time, with the late Queen even gifting him a waffle maker when she was alive.
And even Prince Harry can’t resist and joins his son in eating the stuff in the morning, though he did acknowledge it might not be the healthiest way to start the day.
Harry said on the James Corden chat show: “Interestingly, my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker, she sent us a waffle maker for Archie.
“So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes, he loves it. Archie literally wakes up in the morning and says ‘waffle’.”
Harry added: “Now I have waffles for breakfast, a bit of yoghurt, a bit of jam on top. I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do…”
Prince Harry said he’s partial to a waffle too
Though waffles are certainly an indulgent meal, Prince Archie still follows a healthy diet, packed with nutrients as Meghan is health conscious and often prepares the meals from scratch.
In the CBS documentary Meghan and Harry Plus One, Meghan and Harry’s friends explained what kind of food they like to eat in their home in Montecito, California.
Meghan’s makeup artist friend Daniel Martin told Gayle King: “I’m sure the baby’s gonna be raised like, definitely clean and green. Clean and green for the baby. She loves to cook. Eating organic whenever she can.”
