During a recent episode of The Big Podcast, the NBA legend addressed a running joke about having “four women” living at his house, a claim that seems to have taken on a life of its own.
The conversation began when O’Neal spoke to host Adam Lefkoe and guest Bert Kreischer about a peculiar house in his neighborhood. Lefkoe jokingly suggested that if Shaq was planning to buy the house, he should call it “Love Shaq.”
While the suggestion was light-hearted, O’Neal humorously responded, “I actually thought about it. Oh! Where I bring!” hinting at special invitees.
When Lefkoe quickly clarified that he didn’t imply anything about Shaq’s dating life, the Los Angeles Lakers legend responded, “I don’t do that anymore. I retired.” This declaration seemed to suggest that his bachelor lifestyle was firmly in the past.
Jess Hilarious’ comment adds fuel to the fire
The rumor about Shaq’s four women gained momentum after Jess Hilarious joked on The Breakfast Club about allegedly seeing “four white women” at O’Neal’s house. The comedian likened his lifestyle to that of Ne-Yo, known for his extravagant social life.
Taking to social media, Shaq proved he can take a joke with the best of them, humorously posting, “See what happens when yall be all in my business, thanks to yall they left, now im all alone again.”
The post was clearly a jab at the ongoing speculation about his dating life.
Shaq’s confession about marriage fears
In another podcast appearance, this time on It’s Giving Podcast with Sarah Fontenot, O’Neal opened up about his thoughts on marriage.
Despite the jokes about his alleged house full of women, Shaq admitted he’s actually hesitant about marriage due to his fear of divorce.
He stated, “A lot of couples get divorced because they didn’t know.” When asked about what would make him unafraid of marriage, he responded, “I would have to know every angle.”
Even during this more serious conversation, Shaq couldn’t resist slipping in his running joke about his supposed entourage of women, saying, “I don’t need to be selective-I got four white girls at the crib chilling.”
The playful remarks indicate that Shaq is fully aware of the rumors and is choosing to turn them into a comedic bit.
