EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle is expected to make millions through sponsored posts, exclusive partnerships and brand collaborations, as part of her new Instagram journey

Meghan Markle’s fortune is set to skyrocket thanks to her new Instagram account, according to a social media expert. The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise comeback to the platform on New Year’s Day following a five-year break, and has so far gained 775,000 followers.

In her only post shared on the page so far, the 43-year-old is seen sprinting towards the ocean before writing ‘2025’ in the sand with her finger.

For her profile picture, Meghan chose a black and white photo of herself smiling, alongside the bio: “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.” As her follower count soars, Tom South, Director of Organic and Web (Marketing) at Epos Now, predicts Meghan’s bank balance will follow suit.

He said: “Considering her celebrity status, global influence, and personal branding as a modern royal turned advocate for social causes, she can definitely mint a lot of money.

“Her potential Instagram valuation could already exceed $10million (£8m) based on her current follower count of 775k, the rapid rate of follower growth, and her ability to attract luxury, lifestyle, and philanthropic brands.

“If her follower count surpasses the 10 million mark (which is likely in future given her visibility and media traction), her account’s worth would easily climb into the $50–$100 million range (£40m-£80m).

“This includes revenue potential from sponsored posts, exclusive partnerships, and even brand collaborations with purpose-driven campaigns.”

Tom reckons that with Prince Harry’s wife’s hefty following, she could easily rake in between £80k to £200k for a single post, and this figure could soon increase to over £805k.

He also believes that the Duchess of Sussex is set to redefine the influencer game by blending high-end lifestyle with meaningful advocacy.

“Her return signals the possibility of being a hybrid influencer- someone who can merge influence with impact,” he explained.

“Unlike traditional influencers, she can move entire conversations around social justice, mental health, and gender equity, making her more of a culture shaper than a product promoter.”

Meghan and Prince Harry’s combined net worth is estimated to be around £48-60 million.

Since ditching their Royal duties in 2020 and moving stateside, they’ve embarked on various ventures both as a power couple and individually. As part of their journey, they have released a Netflix series about their Royal life and subsequent departure.

More recently, Meghan has been working on launching her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and is also in the process of making a new Netflix show focused on “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”, according to Deadline.
