LeBron James Sends Message to Travis Kelce: They said something about Taylor Swift

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James couldn’t be prouder of his fellow Ohio native, Travis Kelce, who played a starring role for the Kansas City Chiefs in their NFL playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday.

Kelce finished with seven receptions for 117 yards and one touchdown, helping the Chiefs secure a 23-14 victory over the Texans. In the process, he made NFL history by becoming the first player ever to have at least 100 receptions in seven consecutive seasons, including the playoffs.

Kelce also broke his tie with San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice for the most 100-yard postseason games. The Chiefs tight end has nine after Saturday’s effort.

After learning of Kelce’s accomplishment, James took to social media to heap praise on the Chiefs tight end and congratulate him for his achievement.

“Congrats brother!! NFL record for most 100 rec yard games (9),” James wrote, along with several fire emojis and a salute emoji.

Travis Kelce definitely deserves the praise he’s getting. The Chiefs star had a down season in 2024, tallying just 823 yards and three touchdowns, both career lows since his first season in the NFL. However, he made sure to step up when the team needed him the most.

Perhaps Taylor Swift’s attendance had an effect on him. After all, the numbers have proven that he performs better with his girlfriend in attendance.

Whatever the case may be, Kelce certainly made LeBron James, the rest of Ohio and all of Chiefs Kingdom proud.
