Kendrick Lamar Might Be Paid $1000 Per Day For His Super Bowl Performance

As per the reports, in the 2023 NFL Super Bowl LVIII, when another famous rapper, Usher performed, he was paid $671 for his performance at the Super Bowl. According to CBS News, this amount is the basis of the recent contract of the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists where artists get paid around $1000 per day for performing at the Super Bowl.

However, the NFL has continued to maintain that no artist gets paid for their performance at the NFL Super Bowl Championship. The reason for this is that the NFL Super Bowl is one of the most watched shows in the world. Billions of people across the world tune into catch the next winner of the NFL. So, artists get a huge number of eyes on them and this acts as an advertisement for this artist. This is the reason no matter how huge an artist is, no artist gets paid by the NFL at the Super Bowl.

But the NFL does pay the lodging, set up and transportation fees to the artists so that the artists don’t have to bear the cost of their teams. This is paid fully by the NFL management but no such payment is made to the artist for their performance on stage.

Beyonce And Mariah Carey Performed At The NFL Christmas Day Games

Recently, famous global pop star Beyonce and Mariah Carey performed at the NFL Christmas Day games which was live streamed exclusively on Netflix. While there were many speculations around how much the global pop stars must have gotten paid, there was no confirmation about it. However, as per rumours, the streaming giant, Netflix paid these pop stars and not the NFL.

Back in 2019, Beyonce had signed a contract with the streaming giant for which she got paid a whopping $60 million. As per reports, many have speculated that out of the $60 million she got paid, $20 million was for her performance at the NFL Christmas Day games.

However, no such confirmation has been made public by either Beyonce and her team or Netflix. Currently, it is not known how much Mariah Carey got paid for her mesmerising “All I Want For Christmas Is You” performance at the NFL Christmas day games.
