Kate Cassidy took to social media to share an emotional present she received for Valentine’s Day without Liam Payne.

Kate and Liam had been dating for two years before his tragic death in October 2024. The One Direction star fell to his death at a Buenos Aires hotel just days after Kate had left to return to the US.

Now, as she faces Valentine’s alone, Kate, 25, shared a thoughtful gift a friend gave her to mark the occasion. Kate held up a framed photo collage of some of her best moments with the singer. In the middle read “444 LP [loveheart] KC.” There were also roses in the backgroud.

The number held a special meaning for the pair. Following his death, Kate referenced angel numbers as she revealed she and Liam Payne had planned to marry and had been making plans for their future together in the weeks leading up to his tragic passing.

Shortly after his passing, Kate wrote: “A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together,” she shared. “I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444’.

“Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444.”

Angel numbers are sequences of numbers that often contain repetition or patterns. These digits may pop up in the most mundane places, but they usually catch our eye and spark a sense of wonder.

Kate captioned her latest upload: “Couldn’t ask for a better best friend. This Valentines gift is so special.”

Kate recently opened up on her relationship with Liam in a candid interview. In the emotional chat she revealed she was “trying to be as strong as I can be”.

Speaking to the Sun, she said: “I feel really alone but I know Liam wouldn’t want me to. He would want me to do what makes me happy and to be as strong as I can be like, no matter what people say. He would tell me: ‘Please just take care of yourself, because I can’t take care of you anymore.”

She later broke down on social media as she thanked her followers for the support following the interview. Speaking on TikTok, she said: “This was a platform I used to use for fun with Liam and do all those silly little dances and do our little videos together. I’m so glad I have those memories and that I was able to share that side of our relationship with the world. I wish Liam was here to be able to see the amount of love and support he’s received worldwide because it’s what he deserves and what he would have wanted.”
