A Harry Potter extra has revealed all the rules they had to follow on set of the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Samantha Clinch played an extra in the third film before being cast as Hogwarts pupil Eloise Midgen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In a TikTok which has tens of thousands of views, Samantha has revealed what it was like at Hogwarts and to be an extra.
She said: “So when you’re a child actor on set you have to have a minimum of five hours of tutoring a day. You’d be on set one minute and then some sort of war-like siren would sound and you’d all be whisked off to your trailers for tutoring.”
The content creator explained that the first rule when entering the trailers is that they need to take their Hogwarts cloak off.
She said: “This had something to do with getting ink on them but I remember these cloaks being really really heavy.”

Samantha said that learning on set was no ordinary school experience as all of the children were ‘drama school children’.
She says it meant that whenever anyone got a question right, the rest of the class would react with applause and admiration.

She said: “It was like the Von Trapps, there were harmonies, there were flash mobs. I mean there was only 10 of us per trailer but oh my the vibes were high. Everyone could sing, everyone could dance, everyone could do a backflip.”
In the comments, one fan said: “That sounds so cool.” While someone else replied: “Five hours a day! You must have had long days.”
In another video, Samantha explained some of the other rules they had to follow while on set. Cast members were not allowed to take items from the production and she told fans what would happen if they did.
She said: “”We were always told not to take things from the set or you would be fired. And I remember there was a boy and he put a fork in his pocket and he never came back.”
Samantha attended a part-time drama school when she was 13-years-old and all of the pupils were called up to mass audition for the films.
She said: “You turn up, you get your cloak, you get your house [Hogwarts house], you get your Sorting Hat on and the next thing you know… you’re sat next to Ginny and we’re all having breakfast in the Great Hall.
“It was genuinely the most incredible time of my life. So we did eat a lot of our meals for real on these tables – the food was always real.”
