Shamon Jones’ Strange Dream
Shamon Jones still couldn’t believe her daughter was gone.
Just two weeks ago, R’Mani was laughing, dancing, and posting videos on social media like any other day. But then, that fateful night happened—she was shot and killed while with her father, G$ Lil Ronnie. The police called it a random attack, another tragedy in an endless cycle of street violence.
But deep in her heart, Shamon knew something wasn’t right.
Every night, she sat in her room, staring at R’Mani’s pictures, replaying their last conversations in her mind. The pain was fresh, cutting into her soul like a blade. R’Mani didn’t deserve this.
And then, on the fourteenth night since her daughter’s death, Shamon had a strange dream.
In the dream, she found herself in a misty, shadowy place. A cold wind swept through the air, carrying a voice she would recognize anywhere.
“Mom…”
Shamon turned sharply. R’Mani was standing there.
She looked the same—her long, dark hair flowing, her eyes filled with warmth. But something was different. Sadness. Fear.
“I’m back,” R’Mani whispered. “You need to know the truth.”
Shamon wanted to run to her, to hold her, but her feet wouldn’t move.
“The $500,000 life insurance policy…” R’Mani’s voice echoed, fading into the mist. “Find it, Mom…”
Shamon jerked awake, her heart pounding. $500,000? A life insurance policy?
No one had ever mentioned anything about this before.
With trembling hands, she turned on the light and dug through a pile of papers. After minutes of searching, she froze. There it was—a life insurance policy under R’Mani’s name, worth $500,000.
And the sole beneficiary?
G$ Lil Ronnie.
The air felt heavy, pressing down on her chest. She gripped the paper tightly, her mind racing.
Why was Lil Ronnie the beneficiary? Why had R’Mani never told her about this? And most importantly—was her death really just an accident?
A wave of anger and determination washed over Shamon. If R’Mani had returned in a dream to send her a message, she wasn’t going to let the truth stay buried.
She was going to find out who was responsible.
