One Direction star Liam Payne fans have spotted a clue on the late singer’s Instagram account that it has possibly been logged into recently
Liam Payne’s fans have spotted a clue that the singer’s Instagram account has possibly been logged into three months after his tragic death.
The late One Direction singer tragically fell to his death aged just 31 in October, 2024. He fell from the third floor of a hotel. An autopsy ruled that Liam had died instantly after his fall which caused “multiple traumatic injuries” and subsequently led to “internal and external haemorrhage.
Following his death, Argentinian authorities removed a mobile phone and a laptop from the singer’s hotel room as part of their investigation. However, eagled-eyed fans have claimed his mobile phone may have returned to his family after spotting a clue on his Instagram account.
Over a screenshot of Liam’s ‘about this account’ page, a TikTok user wrote: “Liam’s account has been logged into within the last few days, as it is no longer based in Argentina.” On the page, details like when the singer joined the social media platform and what country the account is based in is shown.

The account is now ‘based in the UK’

It now says that the account is based in the United Kingdom. However, it has not yet been revealed whether Liam’s electronic devices and social media accounts have been returned to his family. Meanwhile, the five men charged after his third-floor balcony fall are currently gearing up for a key appeal date.
The appeal at Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Court in Buenos Aires is understood to have been scheduled for February 10 following the January judicial recess in the South American country. It was not immediately clear this morning if the hearing would take place in public or be held behind closed doors.
The hotel’s manager, a receptionist and a friend of Payne have been charged with manslaughter, Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office previously said in a statement. They are reported to be hotel manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi and Payne’s friend Roger Nores. Two others, hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Paiz, have been charged with supplying cocaine.
