Boxer Devin Haney’s partner, Leena Sayed, has spoken out after viral video footage showed her visiting rapper Jeffery Williams, known professionally as Young Thug, while he was in jail.
Social media influencer Sayed, who has more than 700,000 followers on Instagram, is rumored to have tied the knot with Haney in 2023, although neither has publicly confirmed the speculation. Sayed is currently expecting her first child.
On December 23, their relationship became a talking point across social media when almost 15 minutes of video footage was shared on X, formerly Twitter, showing Sayed speaking with hip-hop-star Williams while he was incarcerated.
In the footage, which was timestamped July 29, 2022, Sayed was seen crying as she told Williams during their prison phone call: “I don’t like anyone. No one’s like you. I don’t like them… I want you.”
Preceding this, Williams, who at the time was behind bars awaiting the start of a criminal trial in Georgia, had told Sayed: “I don’t want to be a burden.”
The conversation was shared online by podcaster DJ Akademiks, born Livingston Allen. As of press time, the clip has garnered more than 16 million views. Newsweek has contacted Sayed, Haney, Williams, and Allen for comment.
Shortly after the video was shared on social media, Sayed took to her own account to clarify one particular point about the timing of the prison visit.
In an apparent response to accusations across social media that infidelity was involved, Sayed wrote in an Instagram Story post: “That video was before I met my [baby daddy]… I would never talk to thug or any other man.”

For his part, Williams returned to X, where had previously not posted in over a month, to deny that anything romantic had taken place between him and Sayed.
“Man me and twin was talking bout some whole other serious s***,” he wrote on the platform. “I don’t know [why] she spoke on loving other people or anything else cause ain giving no f*** bout no h*** or n*****. I’m the capital P lol that’s my twin and nothing else. Never have never will lol.”
“I can have that lil s*** right now if I wanted it, but she been pushing the p harder then n***** lol that’s the twin,” he added in a follow-up post. “I got who I want.”
At the time of the video’s timestamp, Williams was behind bars awaiting the start of his trial, after he was accused of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, which targets individuals working under a criminal organization.

The hip-hop star was one of 28 defendants in the case, in which he stood charged of racketeering conspiracy and participation in criminal street gang activity, along with drug and gun violations.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced the sweeping indictment in May 2022, accusing Williams of being the kingpin of Young Slime Life (YSL), an Atlanta-based street gang affiliated with the Bloods gang.
Following an 11-month trial—the longest in Georgia history—Williams was released from custody on October 31, 2024, after pleading guilty to multiple charges in a non-negotiated plea deal.
A non-negotiated plea deal is entered when prosecutors and defense cannot reach an agreement on the sentence. Both sides present their case to a judge, who then decides what sentence to hand down.
Williams pleaded guilty to most of the counts he was charged with—including gun charges, drug charges, and a gang charge—but pleaded no contest to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and participation in criminal street gang activity in a leadership role.
The rapper’s no contest plea means that he accepts the conviction but does not admit to being guilty of the crimes.
Following the plea deal, Judge Paige Reese Whitaker sentenced Williams to five years in prison commuted to time served and 15 years on probation, followed by 20 years in prison. The backloaded prison sentence will be commuted if Williams complies with the terms of his probation.
