Sorry, But Noor Has Every Right To Be Mad At Peter & Rose In The Night Agent Season 2: Here’s Why

Noor’s anger at Peter and Rose was a bit of an inconvenience to the mission in The Night Agent season 2, but she was completely justified. Noor was a new character in this second installment of the Netflix action series, introduced as a mole within the Iranian Mission to the UN in New York City. It’s implied that she had been passing information to the FBI for quite some time, with minimal reward for her dangerous efforts. Everything changed for Noor when she met Peter and Rose in The Night Action season 2, though not necessarily in a good way.

Noor worked as an assistant to Iranian Ambassador Abbas in The Night Agent, which is why she was such a promising asset to the FBI. Still, it took Peter and Rose to recognize the woman’s true value. With Noor’s help, they managed to get images of mysterious documents that Solomon—the man who killed Alice in The Night Agent season 2, episode 1—sold to Ambassador Abbas. Noor wouldn’t hand these images over, however, until Night Action successfully got her family out of Iran. Unfortunately, her brother was killed in the effort. Rather than tell her this, however, Peter and Rose lied for the sake of their own mission.

Noor’s Reaction To Peter & Rose Lying About Her Brother’s Death Is Justified In The Night Agent Season 2

It Was A Terrible Lie To Tell

Peter was afraid in The Night Agent season 2 that Noor wouldn’t hand over the images of Abbas’ documents if she knew her brother had been killed. Night Action had done its best to get Noor’s mother and brother out of Iran quickly, but the boy, Farhad, refused to leave and pulled a gun on the Night Agent. While much of the responsibility here falls on the rushed extraction and Farhad himself, Noor had every reason to be furious with Peter and Rose. They lied for the benefit of the mission, allowing Noor the false security of believing her family had made it out of Iran safely.

Rose didn’t want to lie to Noor about her brother, but she ultimately went along with Noor’s plan.

When Noor found out the truth about Farhad, she was, naturally, devastated. The FBI had been holding her family over her head even before Peter and Night Action came along, which meant the significant risks Noor took daily at the Iranian Mission were entirely unrewarded and ignored. Peter and Rose should have been the compassionate change that Noor needed, but they only worsened her situation. Of course, The Night Agent season 2 was all about the hard choices Peter had to make while balancing out the greater good. Noor’s brother was a casualty of Peter’s hardest lesson.

Why Noor Still Helped Peter With His Mission At The UN

Noor Was Initially Going To Betray Peter

Though Peter was wrong to lie about Noor’s brother in The Night Agent, his crime was ultimately rewarded. Noor handed over the documents before discovering the truth, and even after she learned that Peter and Rose had lied, she helped them complete their mission. Of course, this was, initially, only because Javad had discovered what Noor had been doing. To save herself and her mother (whom Javad told her was still in Iran), Noor agreed to meet with Peter with the plan to set him up. However, the revelation that Rose was in danger and that Noor’s mother was in the US changed everything.

Though Peter had lied to her, his explanation about the chemical terrorist attack and Rose’s life being in danger pulled at Noor’s heartstrings.

Noor remained a morally sound character throughout The Night Agent season 2. Though Peter had lied to her, his explanation about the chemical terrorist attack and Rose’s life being in danger pulled at Noor’s heartstrings. She warned him that she had led Javad to their meeting place, helped him get into the UN, and later rekindled her friendship with Rose. Despite all she had learned, Noor would have been justified to reunite with her mother and leave Peter to be killed by Javad. However, her good heart won out.
