The Dark Destroyer has opened up on his personal life

Shaun Wallace, known for his role on The Chase, has opened up about a significant life choice, stating he has “no regrets”. In a rare glimpse into his personal life during a podcast chat, the 65-year-old quiz master shared his thoughts on family and career.
Speaking on the How To Be 60 podcast with Loose Women’s Kaye Adams and co-host Karen MacKenzie, Shaun revealed that he had consciously chosen not to marry or have children, reports the Mirror. This decision was made early in his career as a barrister, a time when he felt it wouldn’t be right to raise a child while trying to climb the professional ladder.
Despite not having children of his own, Shaun takes immense pride in being a godfather to 15 children. He said: “I’ve never regretted that decision. I’ve got 15 godchildren. Two of them are called Shaun, and I’m the best godfather in the world.”
Nonetheless, as the conversation continued and the questioning persisted, he ultimately revealed, “Yes, I’m in a relationship.”
The legal ace, who’s been a fixture on ‘The Chase’ since its inception in 2009, chose to keep the details of his partner under wraps. Despite being tight-lipped about his private affairs, Shaun was open about his professional commitments. Celebrating four decades in the legal profession, he asserted no intentions of retiring.

Acknowledging the transistion to TV fame, Shaun expressed humility and was aware that fame might not last indefinitely: “I never take being on The Chase for granted. I know it could all end tomorrow,” he said.
Although his role on ‘The Chase’ demands a high level of knowledge and composure, Shaun conceded that the task is less daunting than his professional legal work, finding appearing on the quiz show less rigorous than representing clients before the “very stern” judges at the Court of Appeal.
