Beatrice and Eugenie ‘to attend royal wedding – but Harry and Meghan not invited’

The guest list for the wedding has reportedly excluded a number of controversial members of the Royal Family.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are set to attend a royal wedding in June alongside other senior members of the family. However, reports suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not been invited as they remain out in the cold.

The daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are set to attend the wedding of Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, and Harriet Sperling at All Saints Church, Cirencester, on June 6. King Charles and Queen Camilla are also expected to be in attendance, as well as Prince William and Princess Catherine. According to royal sources, the king is keen to make sure the sisters remain part of the family while Harry has not been invited due to his dwindling relationship with his cousin Peter.

A source told The Sun: “The Royal Family needs good news and nothing unites like a big church wedding. Beatrice is going, and Eugenie is in the second trimester of her pregnancy but hopes to attend. The King always wanted both to remain part of the family. He made it clear they are welcome at family events.”

If Beatrice and Eugenie do attend the wedding, it would be their first public appearance with their royal relatives since the release of the Epstein files in January. Their father was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office regarding his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, accused of sharing confidential information with disgraced financier while working as a UK trade envoy.

Despite previous reports claiming Prince William and Prince Harry coud be reuinited at the wedding, this is reportedly not the case. A second source told Hello!: “Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited.”

Meanwhile, royal podcaster Mark Dolan said Harry will be “devastated” after not getting an invite to his cousin’s wedding. He described the snubbing as an “act of war” on the Daily Expresso, adding: “This is brutal. I suspect that Harry would not have attended the wedding for fear of bumping into William.”

William and Harry were last together at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, in August 2024 but sat apart and did not speak. Tensions between the brothers are believed to have started around late 2017 and into 2018 when the latter’s relationship with Meghan Markle started to progress, with their relationship worsening around the time of their wedding in May 2018.

William and Kate did reunite with Harry and Meghan at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022. However, the four have not been seen together in public since although it is believed the Princess of Wales has taken on the role of peacemaker.

Harry has stated on multiple occasions that he wants to reconcile with his family, specifically King Charles and his brother William. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with ITV News, the prince said he will “always be part of the Royal Family.”
