Authorities in Tangipahoa Parish say three teenagers have been arrested after an incident involving stolen property and damage to a golf cart at an RV park near Robert and Ponchatoula.

Investigators said the incident occurred earlier this month and that public tips, including information provided by parents of the suspects, played a key role in identifying those involved.

Deputies Say Golf Cart Was Damaged and Property Stolen

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, three males entered Sun Outdoors RV Park on June 5 and allegedly damaged a golf cart before taking two ice chests belonging to guests staying at the campground.

Authorities later released surveillance footage showing the suspects at a nearby gas station in hopes of generating leads.

Public Tips Helped Investigators Identify Suspects

After the video was shared, deputies received numerous tips from the public. Some of the information reportedly came from the suspects’ own parents.

Investigators eventually identified 19-year-old Brandon Gauna, 17-year-old Jackson Peed and another 16-year-old male in connection with the incident.

Charges Filed Against Three Teenagers

Gauna was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on multiple charges, including theft, criminal trespassing, simple criminal damage to property, unauthorized use of a movable and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Meanwhile, Jackson Peed received a misdemeanor summons, while the 16-year-old suspect was issued a juvenile citation.
