On Father’s Day (21 June), Kelly shared a post about her father, complete with pictures of them together and their texts to each other. Some images included Kelly’s three-year-old son Sidney, as well as pics from across the years.

In the caption of her images, she vowed to “never stop missing” Ozzy: “Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see.

In the screenshot of the texts between Ozzy and Kelly, he told his daughter: “Ya know what whenever I’m feeling sick and miserable all I have to do is watch the video you sent of little Sid in the bath and it makes me so happy that it all just goes away.”

He added that he was struggling being away from his daughter and grandchild. “I just wish you were were both still here,” he said. “I really love the both of you and all I want is for the two of you to be happy and if there is every anything you need from me you only need to ask.”

Ozzy had worked hard to make it to his final gig, telling SiriusXM: “By hook or by crook. I’ve got to make it there. I have got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”

This came after a years long battle with Parkinson’s disease and a series of health woes. He died in his Buckinghamshire mansion where he lived with his wife Sharon. Ozzy was surrounded by family, as both his daughters, Aimee and Kelly, were able to be there.

Following his death, Kelly struggled greatly with grief. Just a few months ago, she posted a message to her Instagram about it. She said: “Some grief doesn’t end. It changes shape. It becomes the quiet weight you learn to carry, the ache woven into your days.”

Kelly continued: “Making it through doesn’t mean leaving it behind. It means finding the strength to live and love and keep going even with forever resting in your heart. When grief feels endless and disastrous, like it’s unmaking you from the inside out, surviving isn’t about conquering it. It’s about enduring it.
