The earthquakes began just before 6:30 am, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck right after 7 am, with rumbling felt in Oakland, Richmond, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz.

A pair of earthquakes with a magnitude measuring 3.7 and 3.3 were the first to kick off the “earthquake storm” on Monday morning.

No damage was immediately reported.

Residents reported big shaking during the quakes, according to Fox affiliate KTVU.

Several Bay Area residents sent the outlet videos of items in their homes shaking, and reporters at KTVU’s Oakland studios felt the building shake.

San Ramon, about 36 miles outside San Francisco, has been the site of many earthquakes recently.
