Royal insider issues huge update as Andrew spotted with massive bruise on face

A Royal Insider has provided an update after the disgraced prince was spotted with a large bruise.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sparked alarm after he was spotted with a large purple bruise stretching across the right side of his face near his Sandringham home. The disgraced prince was snapped behind the wheel whilst leaving his new home, Marsh Farm, on the King’s estate on Thursday.

The King’s brother is not often seen in public after a security incident on the estate last month. At the time, the disgraced royal had been out walking the late Queen’s corgis near the Sandringham grounds when someone unexpectedly approached him, prompting the scare. It is unclear how the King’s brother obtained the facial mark.

In a new update a source close to the former told the Daily Mail that the bruise was not “cause for concern”. They added there had been “no drama” but refused to give further information due to medical confidentiality.

Andrew was arrested on his 66^th birthday back in February and questioned on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was released under investigation after spending more than 12 hours in police custody.

The former Duke of York has denied any wrongdoing. He was ordered to by King Charles to move out of Royal Lodge after scandals surrounding Andrew’s former association with Jeffrey Epstein continued to swirl, resulting in Andrew losing his royal titles.

He has since moved into Marsh Farm, a cottage on Sandringham, the King’s private estate in Norfolk.

This comes after it was revealed that Andrew received an undisclosed private income from subletting three properties on his Royal Lodge estate while paying a peppercorn rent.

The sublet revelations were among those published in a report by the National Audit Office (NAO) into the Royal Family’s residential property portfolio this week.

Former Liberal Democrat minister Norman Baker, a vocal critic of royal finances, denounced the arrangement as “outrageous”.

“It shows an absolute contempt for the taxpayer, not only that Andrew was able to have a peppercorn rent for a gigantic property, but then to make potentially millions on the side from subletting properties,” he said. “The money should have gone to the Crown Estate, not into [his] pockets.
