Meghan Markle made a surprise screen appearance amid her trip to Australia.
While Prince Harry undertook solo outings on April 15 (local time), including a visit with the charity Movember on the outskirts of Melbourne and meeting veterans at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, had her own announcement.
Renowned foodie Meghan featured as a guest judge on Australia’s beloved cooking show, MasterChef Australia.
She mentored and guided some of Australia’s home cooks alongside judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli. The latest season of the show kicks off on April 19.

And during her appearance, Meghan continued her homage to Australian designers, wearing a skirt by Camila and Marc and a blouse from Matteau. She teamed the outfit with Manolo Blahnik heels.
A clip posted by Australia’s Channel 10 on Instagram saw Yeow, 52, introducing Meghan on to the culinary show.
“We’ve had MasterChef royalty in the kitchen before, but no one like this,” Yeow told the contestants as they clapped and cheered as the Duchess of Sussex made her entrance.
The official MasterChef Australia Instagram account also shared the news, writing, “We’re welcoming someone SUPER special into the MasterChef Kitchen 🙌. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, makes a special guest appearance this season as she returns to Australia for the first time since 2018 ❤️ Joining a star-studded lineup of Guest Judges and culinary icons, Meghan helps guide some of the most impressive home cooks the competition has ever seen.”
The Duchess of Sussex’s appearance comes after the then-Prince Charles visited the set of the show back in 2018 alongside the now-Queen Camilla.
Meghan shared a further glimpse into culinary skills during her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which has so far aired two seasons and accompanying holiday special. The show saw Meghan whip up creations including tempura fried chicken, a honey lemon layer cake with raspberry and one-pot tomato pasta.
She and Prince Harry, 41, arrived in Australia on April 14 (local time). Their busy first day in Melbourne included visits to the Royal Children’s Hospital (which Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles visited in 1985), a gathering with veteran families at the Australian National Veterans’ Art Museum and a solo engagement for Meghan at a shelter for women experiencing family violence, homelessness and other related challenges.
