Kate has long turned to the label for pivotal moments; in 2022, during the Platinum Jubilee tour in the Bahamas, she wore another Lepley creation for a glittering evening reception.

Choosing the designer once again for a state banquet only reaffirmed the fashion house’s place as a trusted name in her wardrobe for milestone occasions.

But the gown was more than a nod to history. Its illusion lace neckline and sleeves, delicately embroidered yet sheer enough to reveal a whisper of skin, brought a modern edge.
