Andrew's name removed from Falklands history in fresh blow

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been dealt another blow as his name is being removed from Falklands history.

Several plaques bearing Andrew’s name have been taken down, including ones at Mount Pleasant airport and the Infant Junior School in Stanley.

Andrew’s fall from grace has continued since King Charles III stripped him of his prince and duke titles earlier this month.

‘Andrew has rightfully been stripped of his titles and plaques – he has brought shame upon his family and the country he once represented, Kaylee Smith – who was born and grew up on the islands – told The Mirror.

Prince William’s uncle, 65, defended the Falklands as a helicopter co-pilot but has since been removed from the record books.

Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband has previously returned to the islands on several occasions and was invited to open a series of public buildings.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s father ventured back to the British overseas territory three years after the war to open Mount Pleasant Airport.

Thousands of people attended the ceremony, during which the former prince was presented with a silver, engraved map of the Falklands. However, the wall hanging of the map has now been removed.

Airport officials say they wiped all connections with the former prince after his relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to fruition. Andrew has denied all allegations linked to Epstein, with the Metropolitan Police previously ruling that sexual assault claims against the former prince have insufficient evidence to warrant further investigation.
