Peter Phillips’ ex-wife Autumn Phillips: where is she now – 5 years after divorce?

eter Phillips will be marrying Harriet Sperling on Saturday, with the pair surrounded by their friends and family. But this is the second time that both the bride and groom have walked down the aisle.

Peter was previously married to management consultant Autumn Kelly. The couple met back in 2003 when Princess Anne’s son was working with Williams F1. Four years later, the couple’s engagement was announced, and the pair married the following year at St George’s Chapel.

Peter and Autumn share two daughters, Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, who no doubt will be playing a special role on their daddy’s big day.

In 2020, it was confirmed that Peter and Autumn had separated, with the pair divorcing the following year. At the time, a statement partially read: “As both Peter and Autumn are not senior members of the Royal Family, it was not felt necessary to formally announce their separation last year. However in light of media commentary the following statement is issued; after informing HM The Queen and members of both families last year, Peter and Autumn jointly agreed to separate.

“They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship. The decision to divorce and share custody came about after many months of discussions and although sad, is an amicable one.”

Autumn’s current life

Although Autumn was born in Canada, she has remained in the UK, despite speculation that she might look to return to her homeland in the wake of her divorce. Their statement confirmed that Autumn remained living in Gloucestershire for the benefit of the daughters that she shares with Peter.

“Both Peter and Autumn have remained in Gloucestershire to bring up their two children where they have been settled for a number of years,” it read.

Despite the split, Autumn remains a beloved member of the extended royal family, and she is often seen with her daughters at various horse trial events. Last April, she was spotted alongside her former mother-in-law, Princess Anne, as they cheered Zara Tindall on at the Cirencester Park Horse Trials.

At the time, royal photographer James Whatling told us: “Autumn was there, which was nice to see. She’s obviously still part of the family and was chatting to Anne and everyone else. She’s certainly not been ostracised in any way, and it was a nice little support team for Zara. They were all following her around to each section – dressage, showjumping etc.”

Autumn has remained close to the royals

And like Peter, Autumn has also found love once again. In 2022, she started publicly dating property mogul Donal Mulryan, with the pair making their debut at the Cirencester Park Horse Trials.

Donal Mulryan is the founder of the UK development and construction company Rockwell, and the website for the company has shared some information on his career. It reads: “With over 30 years of experience, Donal has delivered more than 6 million sq ft of UK hotel, residential and commercial property.
