Kate Middleton Wears £1.6 Million Earrings on Date Night With Prince William
Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped out for a very public date night yesterday (November 19), attending the Royal Variety Performance in London in matching velvet outfits. And Kate paired her green velvet dress with a truly jaw-dropping pair of earrings worth an absolute fortune.
According to The Express, the Princess of Wales wore the Greville Chandelier Earrings, part of a glamorous jewelry set that was given to Queen Elizabeth II by her parents back in 1947. The earrings alone are said to be worth £1.6 million.

According to The Court Jeweller, the earrings were made by Cartier for Dame Margaret Greville, who gave much of her jewelry to the Queen Mother before she passed them on to Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty actually wore the earrings to the Royal Variety Performance in 1952—so Kate’s look is definitely a call-back!

Kate paired the earrings with another iconic piece of royal jewelry: the Queen Mary choker, which she wore as a bracelet and is valued at £260,000.
