The Duchess of Sussex, along with Prince Harry, has received criticism over the last few weeks following the release of their latest Netflix show.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made headlines again this month after the release of their Netflix series Polo on December 10, followed by their annual Christmas card less than a week later.

While both the series and the Christmas card have received criticism, Meghan has also been a talking point as fans continue to wonder when products from her new brand American Riviera Orchard will launch.

Alongside this, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, is also expected to release a Netflix show in the near future which is set to be linked to her new brand, focusing on cooking, hosting and friendship.

However, concerns have been raised about the new show after a Netflix insider revealed their dissatisfaction with the duchess and her work so far, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The insider summarised what they think about Meghan in one harsh six-word remark: “It’s so much work with her.”

They also added: “Bluntly, the ‘deliverable’ does not seem to be worth it.”

The Daily Mail also reported that another Hollywood executive believes Meghan’s new show will need to be “an enormous hit” to keep the couple’s Netflix deal, which is set to end in 2025, and their reputations.

This comes after the couple’s latest Netflix release – Polo – has failed to be a big hit as it gives fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the elitist sport.

The series, which featured Prince Harry and Meghan Markle only in the final episode, has received damning criticism over the last two weeks, including by royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams who called the series “dull”.

According to the Mail, a Netflix insider said that after the flop of the new sport documentary, Meghan’s cooking show “may not see the light of day”.

The criticism of the couple and their work with Netflix comes just days before they are set to celebrate Christmas at their Montecito mansion with their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

It is likely Meghan’s mum Doria will also join them for the big day.

Reports suggest that the couple did not receive an invitation to spend Christmas with Harry’s royal relatives at Sandringham this year, where 45 members of the Royal Family are set to gather.
