7NEWS drone vision reveals a submerged 4WD in the flood zone as police search for the pair.
A submerged vehicle believed to belong to missing international tourists has been found in floodwaters as dangerous weather triggers multiple emergencies across Queensland.
Queensland Police confirmed on Wednesday the Silver Subaru Forrester was found near Kilkivan, west of Gympie, as emergency services searched for two Chinese nationals.
Drone vision captured by 7NEWS showed the silver 4WD partially underwater, though the interior cannot be seen.
The 26-year-old man and 23-year-old woman — international tourists travelling from Brisbane to North Burnett to begin farm work —were last heard from on Sunday night.
Their final phone signal pinged at Kilkivan, an area now heavily impacted by flooding.
They were only reported missing on Wednesday after failing to reach their destination in the North Burnett region.

A ground and aerial search began during the afternoon but was suspended at nightfall and is expected to resume at first light.
The discovery of the submerged vehicle marks a significant development in the search, with floodwaters continuing to cut off access to large parts of the region.
Police remain at the scene where the vehicle was found.
“Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the two missing tourists are urged to contact police,” police said in a statement.
“The search is ongoing.”

In a separate emergency, police have issued a Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) declaration for Chinchilla due to rising flood danger, as severe weather continues to sweep across the state.
Emergency services remain on scene at Kilkivan as the search effort continues.
