Natasha Archer, a pivotal figure in Princess Kate’s inner circle for 15 years, is departing Kensington Palace to establish her own private consultancy.
The 37-year-old, affectionately known as “Tash”, had served as Kate’s unofficial stylist and most recently held the position of senior private executive assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Notably, Archer is married to Chris Jackson, the official Getty Images Royal Photographer.
The Palace household extended its best wishes to Archer for her new venture, with further details about her consultancy expected to emerge soon. Her departure marked the end of an era for the royal household, where she had been an integral presence since 2010.

Princess Kate’s personal assistant quits after 15 years in Kensington Palace turnover.
Archer joined the royal household in 2010 as a personal assistant to both Princess Kate and Prince William, coinciding with their engagement year. Over the subsequent years, she evolved from a behind-the-scenes aide to become an indispensable member of Kate’s trusted team.
Her influence grew substantially, culminating in her promotion to Senior Private Executive Assistant in 2022. According to her LinkedIn profile, this elevated role encompassed “managing clothing, diary and projects.”
Throughout her tenure, Archer developed a reputation for her keen eye for British fashion, ultimately becoming the driving force behind many of Kate’s most memorable sartorial choices.
Archer played a crucial role in curating Kate’s wardrobe for numerous royal engagements, including demanding international tours. During the 2014 Australia and New Zealand tour, Kate wore 24 outfits in 19 days, all meticulously planned by Archer.

She championed prestigious British designers, including Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham, helping transform Kate from “girl-next-door to regal style icon.”
The resulting ‘Kate Middleton Effect’ is estimated to contribute £1 billion annually to the UK economy.
Archer also pioneered sustainable royal fashion, arranging for Kate to rent a neon-green dress from HURR for the 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston.
She even persuaded Prince William to wear a traditional sherwani during their 2019 visit to Pakistan.

Natasha Archer has worked for the Waleses since 2010.

Archer’s dedication extended beyond professional duties, accompanying Kate on a five-hour hike in Bhutan in 2016 and arriving at the Lindo Wing with an outfit and baby seat before Prince George’s birth in 2013.
Her service earned her the Royal Victorian Order in 2019.
The mother of two, who married Jackson in 2017 after meeting on the job, is leaving as Kate continues her gradual return to public duties following cancer treatment.
During a recent hospital visit, the Princess spoke about finding her “new normal,” saying it “takes time.” Archer’s departure coincides with this transitional period for the Wales household.
