Prince Harry has been handed a major poll victory as young people in the UK reveal what they truly think of him – especially if he were to return as a senior working royal.

Prince Harry made the decision to step down from royal duties in 2020, and now resides in the US with Meghan Markle and their two children.

In a new poll conducted by Ipsos, 1,097 British adults – all aged between 18 and 75 – were asked whether they would support the Duke of Sussex if he were to return to the royal duties.

The survey, which was conducted between October 8 and 9, showed that 34 percent said they would support Harry – as opposed to 37 percent who said they would not.

While the weight still shows many are against Harry’s return, the support for the former working royal has increased by nine percent since the start of the year.

Back in March, a poll posing the same question, showed 39 percent of respondents would oppose a return – with 25 percent stating that they would support Harry.

In the latest poll, Harry’s support base was evidently stronger within the younger generation. It showed 46 percent of the responders were aged between 18 and 35.

Collectively the Duke of Sussex has been more popular amongst the younger generation in both the UK and the US. This could likely be down to the Archewell Foundation largely focusing on youth development.

Despite the support for Harry, both he and Meghan Markle have consistently ranked as two of the most unpopular royals in Britain.

In the poll that determined whether Britons would support a return from Harry, Meghan posed a net rating of -32 among Britons.

Although still low, Harry did position higher on the ranking than his wife – with a result of -18.

Unlike the Duke and Duchess, Princess Kate showed a positive ranking of +56. Her position was closely followed by Princess Anne – who posed +53 – and Prince William’s +52 ranking.
