Sarah Ferguson is back in the conversation after the arrest of ex-husband, and ex- Prince Andrew. Insiders say she is “crying and panicking” as the fallout expands. Fergie now faces a harder news cycle as royal duties continue. As per a recent report, the Duchess of York is in the French Alps. The report says Ferguson now feels exposed as police inquiries continue. It also says the palace keeps a formal tone.
Sarah Ferguson’s not ‘running from anything after Ex-Prince Andrew’s arrest — source
According to CloserOnlineUk report dated February 24, 2026, one insider said the royal ex-wife is “panicking.” The source said, “She has nothing to hide.” Then, the insider said, “she’d be transparent and would co-operate with police.” The source also said she is “not running from anything.” In turn, the insider said, “Sarah’s been crying a lot.” “She’s inconsolable,” the source added. The report says, “It’s not just about the legal side.” It adds “humiliating public scrutiny” and “it’s all crashing down around her.”
However, CloserOnlineUk ties the story to the arrest timeline. It says ex-Prince Andrew was arrested on February 19 by Thames Valley Police. The report says the suspicion was “misconduct in public office.” Searches were then carried out at Sandringham and Royal Lodge. Later, the report says he was “released under investigation.” It says he left Aylsham police station at 7 p.m.
For context, King Charles has backed the investigation. He said police had “full and wholehearted support and co-operation” for a “full, fair and proper” process. He also said, “The law must take its course.” Ferguson and ex-Prince Andrew divorced in 1996. The report adds that they stayed close and lived at Royal Lodge until this month’s eviction. The outlet notes she once called them the “happiest divorced couple in the world.”
Even so, the insider said, “No one can protect her now.” The source said the family cannot “publicly rally around Andrew” and she feels “very exposed.” Then, the source added, “She’s scared, but for herself.” The insider also said, “She’s not certain she’ll come out the other side.” Then, the source said, “That’s what frightens her most.”
