A baby has died following a nightmare crash in Western Australia overnight.
The incident occurred along Nicholson Road in Lynwood, in Perth‘s southeast, around 3.40am on Saturday.
A silver Toyota Kluger crashed into a tree while its driver was performing rideshare duties for three passengers who included an adult, a toddler and a baby.
The 35-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and all three passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
WA Police have since confirmed that the seven-month-old baby died.
Another 32-year-old woman and a three-year-old child currently remain in hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still unknown.
An investigation into the matter is now underway.
