Donald Trump appeared to have a new bruise on his left hand on Sunday, matching the one on his right hand, prompting people to speculate about the president’s health.

On Sunday, Trump went to the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia with former Major League Baseball player Roger Clemens and his son Kacy. In a video posted to Instagram by Kacy, internet users spotted the bruise on Trump’s left hand.

The Daily Beast pointed out that the bruise is clearly on Trump’s left hand, as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt did not deny the new bruise to the outlet.

“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history. His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day,” Leavitt told the Daily Beast in a statement.

Earlier this summer, the White House disclosed that Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition common among people his age.

“I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president’s hand and also swelling in the president’s legs,” Leavitt said in July.

“So in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today.”

She then read the doctor’s note, which stated that “all results were within normal limits.”

The doctor’s report stated that the president’s swollen legs are due to a “benign and common condition” seen in some individuals over 70.

His bruised hands, on the other hand, are attributed to “frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin,” according to the physician, the Irish Star reported.

“In recent weeks, President Trump noted mild swelling in his lower legs,” Leavitt announced at the Thursday press briefing.

“In line with standard medical care and as a precautionary measure, this issue was thoroughly examined by the White House Medical Unit. The president underwent an extensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies, bilateral lower extremity … venous Doppler ultrasounds were conducted and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, especially in people over the age of 70.

“Significantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.”

She added that laboratory tests included a complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, coagulation profile, D-dimer, B-type natriuretic peptide, and cardiac biomarkers. All results were within normal limits.
