Duchess Sophie’s Princess Kate move ‘caught on camera’ on Garter Day

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh was praised for her move towards Catherine, Princess of Wales at today’s Order of the Garter ceremony. In a sweet moment caught on camera, Sophie appeared in an elaborate hat and floral gown as she chatted away to Princess Kate, who wore a butter yellow button-up dress and matching hat for the occasion.
As Princess Kate waved to the waiting cameras, she was shown speaking softly to Sophie, as both women chuckled to one another. The pair were quickly branded “our favourite duo” on social media, with one X user tweeting: “The Duchess of Edinburgh and the Princess of Wales waiting for their husbands to arrive to Garter Day Service.”
Somebody else pointed out the sweet move Sophie made towards Catherine, tweeting: “The way they talk to each other, you can see the genuine respect they have for each other! So sweet.”
Fans also admitted they “loved” each woman’s outfit, with Sophie accessorising with a simple gold cross around her neck, and Princess Kate with dangling silver earrings while she wore her brunette hair loose down her back.
One fan tweeted: “The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Edinburgh at this year’s service for the Order of Garter at Windsor. Beautiful outfits!”
