a montage of Michael and Angela from 90 Day Fiance looking happy and sad

Michael Ilesanmi from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? finally shared a glimpse of his new family after leaving Angela Deem. Michael and Angela got married in January 2020 after meeting online in 2017. Despite being together for seven years, the couple could never establish a strong relationship due to Angela’s aggressive attitude and Michael’s questionable behavior. In December 2023, Michael arrived in the United States, hoping to have a happy married life with Angela. However, three months later, he left her house, citing concerns for his safety. Eventually, Michael became a part of a new American-Nigerian community.

Michael recently shared a video on Instagram introducing his new friend, Fecosin, who has quickly become like family to him in the United States. In the video, titled, “I’m chosen! Who are you?” Michael is seen driving his car, suggesting he has likely already obtained a driver’s license in the new country. He seemed to be having a good time with his friend, enjoying regional music playing in the background. Although Michael didn’t formally introduce his friend, he affectionately referred to him as “my guy” while replying to a fan’s comment.

Angela believes that Michael scammed her, and now she wants to annul their marriage and have him deported. However, Michael seems to have already adjusted to his new American lifestyle and doesn’t want to return to Nigeria. He has even raised over $52,000 in donations to hire a good attorney to fight Angela in court. While Michael may be stressed and fearful of deportation, he isn’t allowing Angela to dictate his new life in the land of opportunities. Michael isn’t concerned with what Angela does next and is enjoying his American dream with his new family.

While Michael wasn’t entirely innocent and played a part in triggering Angela’s insecurities with his unfaithful actions, there’s no denying that he was also a victim of abuse in their relationship. He stood by her side for seven years but reached a breaking point once they moved in together, and her aggression towards him continued. After parting ways with Angela, Michael appears much happier. His latest video shows him brimming with happiness while hanging out with his new friend. His newfound joy suggests that he’s unlikely to ever consider reconciling with his American wife, Angela.

Michael Ilesanmi Is Introducing A New Family

With His Optimism, Michael Can Achieve His American Dream

His new family is a sign that he’s really putting the past behind him. For years, Michael was under Angela’s thumb. Yes, he was conning her, but she was hard to be around. Temperamental and brash, she would lash out over the slightest offense. When he did something especially bad, like cheating, she went berserk. This is a woman who shoved a cake into his face. She once attacked his car while he cowered in his home.

Eventually, Michael emerged from his home to try and save his vehicle, although he was clearly afraid of Angela. Now, she’s angry that he’s moving on, but he’s not afraid of her. She can’t do much about his current situation, although she wants to get him deported. Most 90DF stars do not get deported after breakups. Angela needs to adjust to her new normal and the sooner she does that, the better. Nothing’s worse than living in the past for years, wishing things had been different.

Angela may never find another man, but why does finding one have to be her focus? Maybe she could do other things – she is a funny person with so much charisma. By just letting Michael move on, rather than berating him and his fans, she will win. It’s giving energy to Michael that is dragging her down. Likewise, Michael needs to put his “Green Card hunter” romance behind him, and hopefully become a better man. Good men do not use women to get things. Michael has some growing up to do.

It’s wonderful to see Michael going about his business as usual with a smile on his face, despite Angela’s constant threats of deportation. He has adopted a positive attitude towards life, despite facing setbacks and negativity. Michael isn’t dwelling on the past or blaming his ex-wife for taking away seven years of his life; instead, he’s looking forward to making the best of his life. With this mindset, he’s already on track to achieving his American dream. After years of adversity, the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? alum deserves to find his own happiness.
