One of the suspects under investigation related to Liam Payne’s death says they want to help police with their enquires, it has been reported.

The death of One Direction star Liam Payne reverberated around the world last month as hoards of fans were left in utter shock. And while three people had been arrested following the untimely death of the 31 year old father of one, police and prosecutors in Argentina were wading through the mound of evidence to determine the cause of his death. It was reported at the time, that Liam, who fell from the third floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was under the influence of illegal substance

And earlier this month, it emerged that that three people had been arrested in connection with the singer’s death. And now, in an interview with American magazine US Weekly, Braian Nahuel Paiz, who is allegedly under investigation and arrested in connection with Liam’s death, has finally spoken out.

He told the publication US Weekly: “I want to contribute everything: my phone, everything to the investigation. I have nothing that can harm me. … The other thing is to contribute what I saw personally and what I experienced firsthand.” Prosecutors in Argentina have charged three people, including Braian, in connection with Liam’s death. One person is accused of “the abandonment of a person followed by death”. A hotel employee and a third person have been charged with supplying drugs. The claims have been heavily denied by all three alleged suspects.

Braian said that he had only met Liam twice. He told the publication: “We met up with Liam, [it was] chill. We met, we listened to some music. He asked me what kind of music I liked, hip hop or dance. I told him dance.” The alleged suspect claimed that he met the singer through his job at a local restaurant. And it was at this point, the star then sent him a private message on his private Instagram account from a “burner” account.

Despite reportedly travelling to Liam’s hotel, he has denied supplying him with drugs. He continued to tell the publication: “No, we just saw each other. The person who was there before [me], I suppose, left him the box of soap and everything [that smuggled the drugs up to his room].”

He then said Liam asked him to leave when someone else arrived at the hotel. He added: “I don’t know what was going on, what was that. I realized, because I had my back turned and he turned around, what was going on. I turned around, got up, opened the door and there was no one.” On learning of Liam’s death he reportedly said: “It was really bad. I got really sad, really bad at work. … It took everything from me.”
