“One Big Family”: Emotional Support for Savannah Guthrie Behind the Scenes at Today

THE Today Show staffers have closed ranks around Savannah Guthrie and been looking after her children as her mom Nancy remains missing, The U.S. Sun has learned.

Cops are desperate to identify the armed masked man seen on disturbing doorbell footage at the 84-year-old’s home in Tucson, Arizona on the morning she was taken from her home.

She is believed to have been abducted from her home on February 1, and authorities are combing through tips but have yet to find out who took Nancy and where she is.

Today Show host Savannah, 54, took leave from her role and rushed to Arizona with her heartbroken siblings.

They filmed a series of emotional videos begging for help amid wild reports of ransom notes sent to media outlets.

A source has now told The U.S. Sun that photographs of her husband, Michael Feldman, landing in the state marked the first time she has seen him in three weeks.

They claim her Today Show family has gone above and beyond to support the family, along with Savannah and Michael’s two young children, daughter Vale, 11, and son Charley, 9.

“Producers and other crew members, as well as hosts, including Jenna Bush Hager, have spent time with the family to try and keep the kids’ lives as normal as humanly possible right now and to help out Michael,” the source said.

“They’ve all stepped up to support in any way they can.

“Savannah was supposed to leave for the Olympics right after the show wrapped on February 2,” they explained.

“Her flight was scheduled for that evening with other Today Show team members.

“The show is doing its best to cover this. They know their viewers want to know what’s going on because they love Savannah, but they are also trying to be sensitive to Savannah and the family.

“It’s been incredibly somber and weird around set.

IDENTITY CHECKS

“Everyone knows and loves Nancy, and they are all feeling this. Everyone is still in complete shock.

“Savannah is keeping in touch with crew members via text.”

Officials in Arizona have publicly cleared Savannah and the rest of her family – including siblings and spouses – as potential suspects in the case.

Two men were briefly detained and questioned by the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office – including a convicted felon whose home was searched – but they have since been cleared.

Investigators are now working their way through leads.

Local gun shop owners have reported being quizzed over a list of names and faces that authorities are looking at that could potentially match the wanted man from the footage.

One told how they had shown him photos of driver’s licenses and pictures from social media.

Philip Martin, the co-owner of gun shop Armor Bearer Arms, told local CBS affiliate KOLD that he received a packet of “between 18 and 24 images and names” to check.

Unfortunately, he said the company database didn’t produce any links.

The FBI agent he spoke to allegedly never revealed what the names were regarding, but Martin said he believed they matched the suspect’s description from the video footage.

He said, “Based on that video I saw of the kidnapper at the house who was caught on camera, the facial hair that I saw on the video reminds me a lot of these photographs.

The FBI said the suspect is “believed to be male, approximately 5’9″-5’10” tall, of average build, and carrying a black backpack.”

The reward for information leading to Nancy’s return or the arrest of her kidnapper has increased to $202,500.

An anonymous donation of $100,000 was added to the reward pool, in addition to $2,500 from 88 Crime and the $100,000 already put up by the FBI.
