Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s creepy 5-word comment about his pants to BA staff exposed
A new version of Andrew Lownie’s bombshell book on the former Duke and Duchess of York details an inappropriate incident with an air hostess.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor allegedly shoved a “bottle of water down his trousers” to warm it up in front of an air hostess after complaining the drink was too cold, biographer Andrew Lownie claims in the updated paperback edition of his book on the former Duke and Duchess of York. His Sunday Times bestseller Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, published in August 2025, is credited with accelerating the downfall of the former Prince and his ex-wife by detailing numerous scandals involving money and sex.

In the paperback edition of the book, which will be published on May 21, the author adds 41 pages of new material under the chapter titled “The Reckoning.” It charts the events of the months following the release of his book and includes new sordid details that Andrew is accused of doing during his decades as a senior working royal.
One excerpt details an alleged exchange between the former prince and an air hostess, in which Andrew is said to have undone his flies and put a water bottle down his trousers.
Under a subheading titled ‘Strange Behaviour’, Mr Lownie writes: “Andrew’s strange behaviour has affected so many people.
“A stewardess on a first-class British Airways flight to New York in 2010 tells of how, after he requested a bottle of water, he complained it was too cold. She apologised and said all the water was in the chiller, so ‘he undid his flies, shoved the bottle of water down his trousers and said, “This will warm it up”.’”
Mr Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been approached for comment.
The new chapter goes on to detail some of Andrew’s demands when travelling, which included a strict list of food that he ate and how he expected staff to curtsey.
One particularly grim excerpt alleges that the former prince “kicked his dog in the head, leaving her whimpering on the ground”.
He is claimed to have attacked the dog after his Labrador snatched a sausage roll from a guest’s hand during a food break at a pheasant shoot. When someone called him out on the behaviour, the author said Andrew told them: “Piss off. It is none of your business and I will do precisely what I want to MY dogs.”
The new excerpt of Mr Lownie’s book charts Andrew and Fergie’s fall from grace at the end of last year.
This includes several charities severing ties with the former duchess, her book deal being postponed and the decision to strip the pair of their remaining royal titles and evict them from their grand Windsor mansion, Royal Lodge.
A royal source told the author that the King’s brother now spends his time playing video games and watching golf. The insider told Mr Lownie: “He prioritises gaming over work, health and hygiene. The video games provide him with the instant gratification that his actual life most often is devoid of.”
A member of his staff also recalled a conversation he recently had with Andrew to the biographer, where the former prince claims he’s “been completely misunderstood” and describes the last few months as “the most distressing experience of my life”.
The former prince is hopeful “that one day the naked truth will finally let out”.
