Kate’s Candid Interview on Life After Treatment

Just days earlier, on July 2, Kate visited Colchester Hospital in Essex, where she candidly spoke about the emotional toll of life after cancer treatment.
“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ ” she said, as reported by People. “But actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”
She continued, “You have to find your new normal and that takes time… and it’s a rollercoaster, it’s not smooth, like you expect it to be. But the reality is you go through hard times.”
Her candid confession struck a chord with many and highlighted the quiet strength she’s shown throughout her journey.

Kate has attended Wimbledon nearly every year since marrying Prince William in 2011, with only two exceptions — once in 2013 when she was heavily pregnant with Prince George, and again in 2020 when the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic.

In 2016, Queen Elizabeth named her the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, a role she has proudly embraced ever since. Her presence this year follows her appearance at the men’s final in 2024, one of her few public outings as she focused on her health.
Kate publicly revealed she had completed chemotherapy in September 2024.
She confirmed she was in remission earlier this year. Her return to Wimbledon — an event she deeply loves — is more than a royal outing. It’s a powerful symbol of resilience and the strength it takes to heal in public.
