Eamonn Holmes’ girlfriend was forced to break her silence on engagement rumours after she flashed a huge rock on Instagram

Eamonn Holmes’ girlfriend Katie Alexander has addressed engagement rumours after she accidentally fuelled speculation with a loved-up snap, exposing a huge rock on her finger.

The pair, who are speculated to have been dating for almost a year now, took their romance to a new and meaningful level as they finally went Instagram official this week, sharing a wholesome picture together.

In the image, Eamonn, 65, can be seen holding the camera up for the selfie as marriage guidance counsellor Katie, 43, sizzled in the background while placing a loving hand on the TV star’s shoulder that exposed a ring.

Katie shared the glamorous snap with her own followers, captioning: “Time for a coffee in between clients?” Upon posting the adorable images, Eamonn’s girlfriend quickly put to bed any rumours they were soon to be married.

Clearing up any possible misunderstanding, she further clarified: “Before anyone jumps to the #ringgate bandwagon, the camera is reversed so…. RightHandRingFinger!”

Until now, the couple have very much been enjoying quiet getaways and nights out away from social media and the limelight, with the pair seemingly looking relaxed and happy in each other’s company.

The post comes as Eamonn prepares to mark a significant milestone which was the official end of his 14-year marriage to Loose Women star Ruth Langsford, 65.

It is also believed that the happy selfies were taken just days before Eamonn suffered an accident on GB News when the TV anchor fell from his chair while hosting the live segment.

The incident took place in the early hours of the morning with his co-host Ellie Costello airing her concern for Eamonn at the time. She yelled: “Oh my gosh,” as a loud sound could be heard in background.

Eamonn confirmed to fans he was “ok” but “sore” after the fall
Eamonn couldn’t be seen on camera but could be heard reassuring his co-stars: “I’m fine, fine, fine, carry on, carry on.” Just seconds later, the programme cut to an extended break.

After an unusually long six minute interval, Eamonn was back on screens confirming he was in good health. He joked: “I’m alive,” and proceed to tell fans he was “really, really sore”.

He jested: “They’re very wonky wheels on chairs we’ve got here, as a matter of fact we don’t really like the chairs here. It was a shock for me because I had a fall two weeks ago in my bathroom that hospitalised me and that hit me right in the back.”

Eamonn added: “That hit me again right in the back. Really really sore, really sore.”
