Rapper Lucas Coly di.es after heartbreaking final message to fans: It only has 3 words!

The celebrity passed away on Wednesday night, hours after leaving a tragic final message to his fans on Instagram stories. Lucas Coly’s death was confirmed by his manager and his girlfriend, who have honored him with their memoirs after his passing. The Las Vegas native was French-American and only 27 years old at the time. Sadly, he joins the list of celebrities who have died this year far too soon.

Lucas Coly’s cause of death confirmed

Rumors surrounding Lucas Coly’s death began to circulate earlier this week following his final message on his social media account.

The 27-year-old had simply written on his Instagram Story: “I love y’all”.

It caused concern with his followers.

NEVER FORGOTTEN: ‘True legend’ of Hollywood dies – ‘There will never be another’

The Clark County Office of the Coroner and Medical Examiner confirmed the rapper had died from a single gunshot wound in a reported suicide.

His management agency, I Discover Stars, paid tribute to the star after the news.

“Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here.

“There’s a hole in my heart right now, Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans.

“So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don’t know what to do now. I’d be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same.”

“Honestly, Lucas it hasn’t set in yet because I refuse to believe you are gone. Heart ripped to shreds. God send him back here. Please. I’m broken over here #riplucascoly #checkonyourfriends.”

His manager added in a now-deleted post: “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there.”

Manager ‘on the phone to him moments before’

Lucas, born in France in 1996, moved to the US when he was eight years old with his family. He first saw fame on six-second video app Vine, where he would upload clips of him rapping in English and French.

He achieved 1.2 million followers on Instagram and 470,000 on YouTube since.

His most-known tracks were Numb, Break Ya Back and I Just Wanna. The rapper also teamed up with music group Diamondz with other internet sensations like Dillyn Troy and Willgotthejuice. He dated fellow Instagram star Amber H in 2017, and they launched a joint channel on YouTube, but their last clip was 2022.

His manager also asked for prayers for Amber on Facebook.

He wrote: “I’m not ok. Pray for Amber y’all.”

He added he was on the phone to the star ‘moments before’ his death, writing: “He loved all of his fans. 2024 has been the worst year of my life. Lucas was more of a brother to me than my client.”

“Amber will confirm the news when she is ready. Please give her time to process and heal. When the funeral arrangements are set, I will post them here.”

Tributes pour in

Tributes from his fans and followers have been pouring in on his account since the news. Tragically, he joins other music stars who we’ve had to say goodbye to.

One wrote: “OMG his story saying ‘I love y’all”, and another said: “Just broke me”.

An Instagram follower penned: “I just saw his story the other day. Man, this just shows people really be going through it”.

“My childhood memories are ruined,” cried a follower.

Someone else added: “Rest in peace, my condolence to his family and friends! I hope he found the peace
He wanted and was craving for. Bless his spirits!”
