Ozzy Osbourne’s rarely-seen daughter Aimee has shunned the spotlight, unlike her famous siblings, but is now set to appear in a new documentary about her rock legend father

Unlike her celebrity parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and her siblings Kelly and Jack, Aimee Osbourne has deliberately maintained a low profile, avoiding the public eye.

Similarly, Ozzy’s children Jessica and Louis, from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, have also stayed out of the limelight. Their father, the Black Sabbath legend Ozzy, passed away on July 22, shortly after delivering his final farewell performance.

Sharon received comfort from her children Kelly, Jack and Aimee as the family witnessed an overwhelming display of affection for the heavy metal icon at his funeral procession, which drew thousands of dedicated fans. Aimee, 41, who performs music under the stage name ARO, was born in 1983 in London and lived with her famous family in California during the filming of their legendary show, The Osbournes, which she declined to participate in.

At 16 years old, Aimee decided to leave the family residence when her relatives started recording the reality program. “Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life,” she told The Independent in 2015.

She added, “So why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.” Back in 2020, mother Sharon revealed she completely understood Aimee’s choice to stay away from the reality show.

During an appearance on The Talk, she shared, “We had about 30 crew, 24 hours a day. The house wasn’t a home any more, it was a studio, so I get why she didn’t like it.” When it comes to Aimee’s relationship with her siblings, Kelly was brutally honest in 2021, admitting, “We don’t talk.”

During a candid chat on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Kelly revealed, “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.” In a 2021 interview with Cleveland, Aimee – who dropped her debut album Vacare Adamaré in 2020 – discussed her passion for music.

“I started writing, secretly, as a teenager. I also would write a lot of poetry – I was always creative in that way, less academically inclined,” she revealed. “My parents overheard me kind of singing in my room. It was a friend of my parents who said, ‘Oh, you should come and stay with me and work with some producers and see what happens.'”

Aimee reportedly lives in Los Angeles, where she recently put her gorgeous mid-century property on the market for a staggering $4.4 million. In what appears to be a touching tribute to her father, the elusive daughter is now preparing to appear in a brand new documentary celebrating her rock icon dad.

Aimee will join forces with her mother Sharon and siblings Jack and Kelly in the forthcoming feature-length special honoring the Prince of Darkness, as they come together to celebrate the cherished husband and father. The upcoming documentary, Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, is set to be released later this year.

The filming had been in progress for several months before the star’s passing, with a special emphasis on Ozzy’s struggles after a severe fall in 2019 that drastically changed his life. The production also offers an exclusive look at behind-the-scenes moments from Ozzy’s final performance at Villa Park, as reported by The Sun.

An insider in the industry disclosed, “Aimee never wanted to be in the spotlight; she was never comfortable with the attention. However, she believed the documentary about her father’s life was a fitting way to break cover, as the special has a deep and emotive angle. The audience will be just as captivated by Aimee’s insights as they are to discover how Ozzy has managed during his more challenging years.”
