Austin Metcalf’s Twin Brother Delivers A Chilling 6-Word Statement As Karmelo Anthony Awaits His Fate

Austin Metcalf’s twin brother delivered a powerful victim impact statement to convicted killer Karmelo Anthony, telling him that while his slain brother’s memory will live on, “eventually your name will be forgotten.”

Hunter Metcalf, who was born just two minutes after Austin, addressed Anthony after the 19-year-old was sentenced to 35 years in prison Tuesday for the fatal stabbing of his 17-year-old brother.

“You took a son, a brother, a friend, and my best friend from this world. You took someone from me who was supposed to be an uncle, a godfather to my kids. Now I want everything taken from you,” Hunter said through tears in a Texas courtroom, CBS Texas reported.

“Eventually your name will be forgotten,” he added. “But my brother’s memory will live on.”

Anthony was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Austin Metcalf, a high school athlete who was fatally stabbed during a confrontation at a track and field meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2, 2025.

According to reports from the courtroom, Anthony became emotional as the verdict and sentence were delivered and kept his head down while members of Metcalf’s family read their victim impact statements.

“We were robbed!” Austin’s father, Jeff Metcalf, cried out as he addressed Anthony in court. “Don’t look down!”

“You failed your parents, you failed yourself, and you failed society. You don’t belong in this community. You’re going to prison. I forgave you the day it happened. I don’t forgive what you did. You can’t look me in the eyes, but you can stab my son!”

The Metcalf family left the courtroom after Hunter, who spoke last, concluded his victim impact statement.

Anthony was then formally remanded into custody and escorted from the courtroom moments later.
