CCTV captures the ‘fatal jump’ moment of Thomas Medlin – Parents collapse before the truth!

A 15-year-old boy from Long Island has been missing for more than two weeks after leaving for New York City, and police have shared his last known location in the city.

Thomas Medlin, of Saint James, left after school on January 9 and ran to the train station in Stony Brook to travel into the city. Suffolk County Police said he was at Grand Central Station around 5:30 p.m. that same day, and was last seen on the pedestrian walkway on the Manhattan Bridge just after 7 p.m. — right around when the last activity on Medlin’s cellphone was detected.

Police said a nearby surveillance camera captured a splash in the water under the bridge a minute later. There is no indication of criminal activity, police added.

Medlin was wearing a black jacket with red stripes, dark sweatpants with white stripes, glasses and carried a black backpack. He is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds.

The teen had reportedly journeyed into the city to meet a friend he made through the online video game platform Roblox, but Suffolk County Police said an examination of Medlin’s social media and gaming profiles determined the platforms were not connected to the disappearance.

In a statement, a Roblox spokesperson said the company hopes for the teen’s safe return and that they were cooperating with police.

“We conducted a thorough review of multiple accounts possibly associated with Thomas to support law enforcement’s investigation. We found no attempts to direct him to an off-platform communication method or sharing of off-platform contact information (such as usernames, phone numbers, or social media handles). We will continue to investigate and provide any assistance we can,” the statement read.

The company said the filters its system uses blocks users from exchanging personal info and outside links, and their review found there had been no attempts to get around those safeguards.

Suffolk County Police has asked anyone with information about Medlin’s whereabouts to call 631-854-8452.
