Luka Doncic was traded away to the LA Lakers at the start of the month, in a move that saw Anthony Davis head the other way.

To date, Anthony Davis has been overshadowed by Max Christie’s impressive two-way performances, who arrived in Dallas with him. This is due to Davis’ injury.

Davis suffered an injury on his Dallas Mavericks debut, sidelined ever since, a nightmare for the team and for him personally. There have even been accusations he was rushed into action too soon following a previous injury.

The longer Anthony Davis spends on the injury list, the more the anticipation builds for him to demonstrate what he is capable of.

Dallas were blown out against the Warriors on February 23, the weaknesses in their roster ruthlessly exploited.

Meanwhile Luka Doncic enjoyed the best game of his LA Lakers career 24 hours earlier.

Speaking to ESPN, Stephen A. Smith believes Doncic has already piled the pressure on Davis, with Mavericks fans desperate for the hole to be filled created by the Slovenian’s departure.
